One of the main themes of Into the Spiderverse is this idea that anyone can be a hero, regardless of their background or where they come from. Thus, Twitter is abuzz with artists and illustrators making their own “spidersona” to reflect their unique qualities that make them powerful. My “spidersona” is… basically just Peter B. Parker, I guess.

Leap of Faith

So we’re coasting the wave of a superhero renaissance in the world of pop culture, what with the glut of Avengers, Batman, and other films starring Hollywood’s handsomest dudes. With all of that, Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse still stands out as one of the best of the bunch for one simple reason: superheroes work best in cartoon form. Seriously, this one deserves a watch.
